Scalextric Sport Digital

Scalextric Sport Digital is one of three recent digital slotcar systems on the market for the home use. SSD supports up to six cars on a two-lane track. Lane changing happens on dedicated track pieces and are initiated by pressing a button on the controller.

Car Pool

The range of digital cars offered by Scalextric for the SSD is still small. As a compensation Scalextric offers separate digital chips, which can get installed in a loads of conventional cars to make them ready for SSD. They can even get installed in cars of other manufacturers.

Cars equipped with SSD chips still run on conventional analogue tracks. A unique feature, which may be the crucial factor for some potential buyers.
